Teenager consuming drugs Teenagers in the media In this image, a teenager is represented as being delinquent due to his acceptance of drugs, an illegal substance which demands heavy consequences if found in possession. Furthermore, the teenagers facial expressions give off an impression of disregard for his illegal actions. Overall, the article in which this picture appears does not identify the teenagers as guilty but do suggest that they have the capabilities to buy and sell drugs without any force from the police and the law. Stereo-typically, teenagers are renowned for being difficult to control and easily influenced, therefore the article does promote these stereo-typical views. I believe this to be an unfair representation of teenagers as the use of drugs does not apply for the majority of teenagers, and is also a crime which is very common in adults.
